A Celebration of Life for Charlotte Ann (Williams) King will be 10 a.m.Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes.

Charlotte Ann (Williams) King passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side in Jasper, Arkansas, on Aug. 10, 2023.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1947, to Howard and Nan Williams, in Independence, Missouri.

Charlotte went to Van Horn High School, attended Central Missouri State and SUNY Cortland.

She became a sixth grade English and History teacher at Tully Elementary School and Union Christian Academy. She affected many students’ lives through the Liberty Partnership Program (LPP) and as a Girl Scout Leader.

Charlotte was a devoted member of Homer Congregational Church, Temple Baptist Church, and the Newton County Nursing Home Church Service.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Howard and Nan Williams.

She is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Hoffman of Lafayette, New York, and Stacy (David) Potter of Ruston; four grandchildren, Brent, Racheal, April, and Jacob; two great-granddaughters, Autumn and Raelynn; her sister, Phyllis Love of Springfield, Missouri; brothers, De-Wayne ( Larisa) Williams of Shreveport, and Lowell (Camelia) Williams of Grain Valley, Missouri; uncles and aunts; along with several cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

The family would like to thank the employees of the Newton County Nursing Home and Countryside Nursing and Rehab Center for all their love and care.
