Connie Cordell Farrar
Funeral services for Connie Cordell Farrar, 79, of Dubach, were held Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 2 p.m., at Sharon Baptist Church in Dubach.
Rev. Jeff Roberts and Rev. Phillip Farris officiated. Interment followed at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.
A visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Sharon Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m.
Connie was a deacon of Sharon Baptist Church, a Mason, and a member of the Monroe Scottish Rite Bodies. He retired from Ball Foster Glass / Saint- Gobain Plastics in Simsboro. He proudly served as Sgt. in the Air Force 2054 Comm SQ AFCS.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Mattie Smith Farrar; sisters, Sissy Farrar, Rue Dial, Lottie Waite; brothers Leo Farrar and J. B. Farrar.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Janie Farrar; son, Bradley Farrar of Dubach; grandson, Hunter Farrar of Ruston; granddaughters, Sarah Farrar and Emily Brooke Farrar of Farmerville; sister, Ann Farris of Bernice; and brother, Allen Farrar of Monroe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Special thanks to Kay Holmes, Donny Odom, Mazzie Williams, Jon Ed Colvin, Jeff Roberts, and the staff at Willis Knighton Cancer Center of Shreveport as well as many others that called and visited.
Pallbearers were Adam Farris, Mike Farris, Rusty Farrar, Adam Chellette, Hunter Farrar, Clay Farris and J. D. Farris. Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Paul Farris and Brad Goines.
