Jacob Wade Aswell

Graveside services for Jacob Wade Aswell, 37, of Choudrant, LA, will be held at Choudrant Memorial Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. The Rev. Werner Aswell will officiate.

Jacob was born on Aug. 9, 1981, in Ruston, LA, and passed away on Aug. 5, 2019, in Choudrant, LA. Jacob was a graduate of Choudrant High School and worked as a laborer for Raeford Farms. Jacob enjoyed hunting, tending to his cattle, visiting, and spending time with his many, many friends.

Jacob was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Williams Aswell; paternal grandparents, Walter and Jewell Aswell; and maternal grandparents, George and Evelyn Williams.

Survivors are his father, Wayne Aswell; sister, Melanie Aswell of Jamaica Plain, MA; step-mother, Cathy Aswell; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and a host of friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Touchstone, Chris Evans, Tony Oxford, Andy Gibson, Brad Gibson, Michael Ward, (Buster) Stanley Evans, and Eddie Parnell.

Visitation will be held from 5 -7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
