Jo Colvin Machen, 84 of El Dorado, AR, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at St Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, AR.

Born on September 7, 1936 in El Dorado, AR; she was the daughter of John B. Jordan and Nevie Rebecca Stephens Jordan. Jo was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, she was active in the United Way, the Service League, Interfaith Health Service and served on the board of Boys and Girls Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepson Steve Machen and husbands Melvin “Bubba” Colvin, Jr. and Martin O Machen.

Survivors are sons Michael A Colvin (Jamie) of Ruston, LA, and David L Colvin of St. Simons Island, GA; stepsons Jeff Machen (Vicki) of El Dorado and Joey Machen of Taylor, AR. Along with grandchildren Lynsey Johnson (Matthew), Ryne Colvin (Brooke), Emma, Drew, Dean, Sarah, Caroline, Elizabeth, Payton, Eli Colvin, Cody Machen, Austin Machen, Jacob Machen and Nathan Machen and great grandchildren Savannah, Georgia, and Mason Machen, Ella Grace and Olivia Johnson, Quinn and Quay Colvin, Jackson Kinard and Layla Colvin.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Young’s Funeral Directors in El Dorado with Father Robert Wetherington officiating.

Interment will follow at Unionville Cemetery in Dubach, LA.
