Patricia Ann Grandon

A celebration of the life of Patricia Grandon will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Ruston, LA on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. with Mass set for 3 p.m.

Pat had a life full of love, beginning with her birth on Dec. 12, 1935 in Dwight, IL into the Michael Edward and Julia Frances Nolan family as the youngest of six children.

At the age of 14, she met Richard Grandon, a boy of 16, who later became her husband and best friend for 49 years until his death.

She raised three children and one grandchild always giving unconditional love and encouragement.

God gave her the gift of service and she used it throughout her whole life. She volunteered at her children’s schools and events, various church ministries and visited the homebound and those in nursing homes. She passed away on January 26, 2020 in Nashville, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son John, brother Bill Nolan and sisters Rosemary Zito, Geraldine Garretson and Dorothy McCleary. She is survived by her daughter Beth (Kenny) Bostwick, son Paul (Barbara) Grandon,daughter-in-law Christy Grandon, brother Francis Nolan, grandchildren Shay (Brent) Youngblood, Shannon (Dan) Eldridge, Jessica Short, Jarrod (Laurel) Grandon, Jake Grandon, Jonathan Grandon, Hope Grandon, Carly (Jon) Lambert and Zachary Alvarez and 5 great-grandchildren.

If friends desire, memorials may be made to a charity of their choice.
