Rose Marie Sullivan Hicks

Funeral services for Rose Marie Sullivan Hicks, 81, of Ruston, will be held Friday, March 26, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston with Rev. Paul Watts officiating.

Interment will be at Douglas Cemetery in Choudrant under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will take place Friday from 1-3 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Marie was born on April 28, 1939, in Calhoun, to her parents, Hardy and Bertie Belle Sullivan, and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

Rose was a very special teachers’ aide for many years. Preceding her in death are her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Those left to cherish her life are her children, Linda Willis (Billy), Barbara Bradshaw, Charles Hicks (Karen), and Brent Hicks (Amanda); sister, Rita Gay Nolan; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors Steve and Kari Quinnelly.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Jay Bradshaw, Greg Bradshaw, Jamie Bradshaw, Mike Willis, Brent Hicks Jr., Brady Hicks and Wesley Hicks.
