Shawn E. Kaffka

Services celebrating the life of Shawn E. Kaffka will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Ruston First Baptist Church in Ruston with Bro. Chris Craig officiating.

Interment will follow at Craig Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church prior time of service.

Shawn was born March 4, 1977, in Shreveport, and entered into rest December 8, 2021, in Minden. He served as the director of Camp Harris in Minden.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucille James, Marie and Walter Kaffka and uncle, Kenny James.

He is survived by his wife Laurie Kaffka; sons, Joshua and Noah Kaffka, all of Minden; parents, Kenneth and Shirley Kaffka of Stonewall; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Vicky Ham of Spearsville; sister, Keena Ogle and husband Robert of Stonewall; brother-in-law Tommy Ham and wife Angie of Springfield, Tennessee, and nephews, Bryan Ham of Springfield, Tennessee and Trace Allen and Trent Ogle of Stonewall.

Pallbearers will be Luke Hockenjos, Brandon Digilormo, Robert Ogle, Todd Free, Tommy Ham, Brad Wolfe, Garrett Allison, and Josh Sanderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Bryan Ham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Harris or American Cancer Society. Rose-Neath Funeral Home is located at 211 Murrell Street in Minden.
