Stephen F. Leverone
A memorial service for Stephen F. Leverone, 77, will be held at Life-Point Church in Ruston Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at 4 p.m.
Stephen was the son of the late Paul G. And Lorrane Leverone of Panama City, Florida, then later Clearwater, Florida. He grew up in Maryland and Virginia and graduated from McLean High School in McLean, Virginia.
He worked for a phone company in Washington, D. C., and for a saddle leather shop in McLean. He also arranged flowers, working alongside florists. He moved to Florida in the 1960s and worked for the News Herald distributing papers via vending. He was a member of the YMCA in Clearwater.
Stephen moved to Louisiana to be near his sister and attended Lifepoint Church in Ruston. He enjoyed gardening, watching old black and white movies, westerns on TV, feeding wildlife birds, humming birds and feral cats. He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Steve Leverone.
He is survived by his sister, Pam Faile of Ruston; daughter, Heather Longobardo of Maryland; five grandchildren, Samantha, Adriana, Alexander, Gabriella and Sarah; niece, Michelle Galbreath of Ruston; nephew, Edward Paul Faile and wife Ann of Ruston; niece, Nicole Renee Sanders and husband Jeremy Chreene of Choudrant; multiple great nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind his extended family, Jannise, Stormie, A.J., Lannise and Liam Popwell, all of Simsboro.
