William Bryant Hinton

William Bryant Hinton, 67, of Yantis, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2023, after a brief illness.

Bill was born in Ruston on Jan. 13, 1956. He grew up in the piney woods and spent most weekends as a youth hunting and fishing. He attended Ruston High School and Louisiana Tech.

In 1990, Bill married Janice Templeton. The couple shared 33 years together in loving marriage. Bill and Janice loved to travel.

They spent many vacations over the years scuba diving, hiking or just enjoying new sights.

Bill was loved by all and never met a stranger. An avid golfer, he still enjoyed fishing and the occasional hunting trip into his retirement. Bill and Janice loved pets and gave a home to many over the years, including golden retrievers, cats and even a baby deer.

Bill is survived by his wife, Janice; his mother, Alice Hinton; brother, Curt Hinton and wife Nan; and his brother, Mike Hinton and wife Rose.

He is predeceased by his father, Richard Hinton.
