A funeral service for William Ted Knowles, Jr., 94, of Dubach, will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach with Bro. Connie Smith, Bro. Walt Brown, and Bro. Stanley McGee officiating.

Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach.

William Ted Knowles, Jr. was born June 4, 1927, and passed away February 17, 2022. Ted was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Some of the hobbies he enjoyed were fishing and squirrel hunting.

He served as a deacon at both Farmerville First Baptist Church and Fellowship Baptist Church, and was always involved in youth activities, even teaching RA boys on Wednesday nights at church.

Ted coached little league baseball for a number of years and he was also a member of Lincoln Parish’s volunteer fire department. He retired from IMC in Sterlington after 37 years of dedicated service, and he was also a Navy veteran, having proudly served his country. Ted was loved by many and he will be dearly missed.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Ruth Knowles; sisters, Betty Joyce Walker and Penny Ford; brother, Billy Knowles; and one grandson-in-law, Kenny Joe Brazzel. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 69 years, Joyce McGee Knowles; children, Renee Taylor (Bobby), Rhonda Franklin (Greg), and Scotty Knowles (Tammy); grandchildren, Kristy Brazzel, Andrea Mason (Zeb), Robert Taylor (Madison), Kelly Cash (Nick), James Franklin (Alli), Brandon Knowles, Chad Knowles, and Abbie Davis (Ethan); 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Terry Knowles (Glenda) and Ruby Alice Rainbolt; along with numerous other family members and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Devin Brazzel, Robert Taylor, Zeb Mason, James Franklin, Nick Cash, Brandon Knowles, and Chad Knowles. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Fellowship Baptist Church.
