Bearcats remain No. 4 in LSWA prep poll

Ruston remains No. 4 in Class 5A in the latest Louisiana Sports Writers Association prep football poll, with no change in the top five rankings.

The Bearcats (7-0, 2-0 district) defeated Pineville 48-6 on Friday for its biggest win of the season with Jordan Hayes running wild for over 120 yards and a touchdown, while the Bearcats’ defense held the Rebels to 30 yards rushing and nine first downs.

Holy Cross dropped from No. 7 to No. 9 after losing to Brother Martin, while East St. John, John Curtis and Catholic-Baton Rouge all rose into the top eight with wins.
