The team is in Colorado for the Colorado Sparkler, a national softball tournament with over 1,000 travel teams in attendance across all age divisions. The Bombers began bracket play Friday as the No. 1 team after rising to the top in pool play of out of 87 teams.
In pool play, the pitching staff of Mattie Fullington, Macie Cameron, Brinnly Redden, and Mackenzie Roach faced 62 batters and allowed 6 hits and 4 earned runs – including a perfect game in game two from Roach.
At the plate heading into bracket play, the Bombers’ top hitters include Brylin Florentine hitting .857, Brooke Shivers hitting for a .750 average, and Aubery Stoehr with a .667 average.
