C.O.R.T tennis team wins local league
The City of Ruston Tennis C.O.R.T adult tennis team won the local (United States Tennis Association) Ruston USTA Mixed Doubles Tennis League, 18 & older at the Ruston Sports Complex Tennis Courts (RPAR). The win gave them a berth to the Louisiana State Championships that were held in Mandeville, Sept. 1-4. They won the state title and will now advance to Sectionals in Mobile, Alabama, Sept. 29 to Oct 1. Front row (from left) are Kylie Berry, Lynn Barron, Tabitha Nankya, Lori Spence and Wesley Johnson.
