McConnell earns second CUSA Hitter of the Week

Louisiana Tech’s Cole Mc-Connell was named the Conference USA Hitter of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.
McConnell, a senior, smashed 4 home runs with 8 RBIs on the weekend against Jacksonville State. The Beaumont, Texas native went 5-for-12 in the series sweep. This is the second time this season Mc-Connell has earned this award. McConnell is hitting .376 with 39 RBIs and a career-high 10 home runs this season.
Tech will travel down to Miami to face FIU on Friday to begin a three-game series.
