No changes at top of Class 5A poll this week

For the fourth straight week, Ruston (8-0, 3-0) remains No. 4 in Class 5A, per the latest prep football poll from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
The Bearcats have rattled off three-straight wins with at least 35 points, including back-toback 48-6 district victories over Pineville and West Ouachita.
Ruston returns to Hoss Garrett Stadium Friday to face the Ouachita Lions (2-6, 1-2) for Senior Night.
The top five remains unchanged in Class 5A, while John Curtis and Catholic-Baton Rouge jumped to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively. After suffering its first loss of the year, East St. John fell from No. 6 to No. 10, but faces No. 2 Destrehan this week. Brother Martin and Acadiana joined the top 10 after being unranked last week.
In Class 3A, remains No. 9, while Homer holds steady at No. 6 in Class 1A.
