Roberson receives C-USA honor

Louisiana Tech’s Anna Larr Roberson was named conference USA’s Player of the Week today after an incredibly strong finish to the regular season with wins at Old Dominion (65-62) and at home over UAB (82-56) to clinch their first division title since 2011.

At ODU, Roberson scored 31 points on 10-13 shooting including a perfect 10-10 at the free throw to go along with eight rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.

She followed that up with 19 points and six rebounds in Saturday’s title-clinching home finale over UAB. This week, Roberson averaged 25 points and seven rebounds on 67 percent shooting from the field and 87 percent from the line.

Roberson finished the regular season scoring in double figures in 25 of her 28 games including two 20-point performances (Charlotte, ULM), the 31-point game at ODU, and a historic 44-point night in the double-overtime thriller over Rice.
