Ruston volleyball receives 2-1 All-District recognition

After a strong 2024 season with a second straight District 2-1 title, Ruston volleyball earned multiple All-District honors from fellow league coaches.
Ruston head coach Amanda Cauley was named District 2-1 Coach of the Year after leading the Lady Bearcats to back-to-back district titles, another first-round home playoff game, and a 23-13 overall record.
Ruston senior Harper Cauley was named District 2-1 MVP after proving to be the most consistent weapon in the district with 294 kills at a .274 hitting percentage — both career highs. She also put up 40 service aces and a team- best 207 digs.
Her sister, Baylor Cauley, earned District 2-1 Offensive Player of the Year honors with a team-best 80 service aces (nearly a three-fold increase from 2023), 142 kills, 190 digs, and 478 assists as the team’s primary setter.
Defensive Player of the Year honors went to Sarah Grace Buckles from ASH, while Freshman of the Year went to Calleigh Atkins from West Monroe.
All votes were unanimous, and all four coaches ( Ruston, Pineville, ASH, West Monroe) voted. Here’s the complete All-District team for District 2-1:
