The Louisiana Tech women’s bowling team placed third at the ITC Dallas Sectional over the weekend, qualifying for the Intercollegiate Team Championships.
The No. 6 Louisiana Tech women’s bowling team continues to make history this season. This time, they did it by qualifying for the Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC).
“We accomplished our goal of qualifying for the USBC team championships,” head coach Matt Nantais said. “We had a lot of ups and downs this weekend with spare shooting. We have a couple of weeks to really clean up some things in our games that were exposed while we competed this weekend. We also didn’t have all of the right equipment that we needed at this event. Without knowing the pattern that is put down, it’s a guessing game. So, we will make some adjustments to bowling balls that we bring to the championships. I’m just excited to have another chance to win a championship with this team.”
Tech earned its first bid to the Intercollegiate Team Sectionals last season, but was unable to compete as the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over a year later, the Lady Techsters again earned a spot in the Dallas Sectional.
