The Cedar Creek football team (1-2) has been on a whirlwind through the first three weeks of the season. Last weekend was no different as the Cougars went head-to-head with No. 1 ranked Ouachita Christian and pushed them to the brink.
It was a nail biter in Hoss Garret Stadium for the Ruston High Bearcats football team as they defeated the reigning 4A State Champion Carencro Bears with a last second Brady Season field goal that sealed the victory 38-35.
It took a little while for the Cougars to get the offense untracked last week, but eventually they ran roughshod over Delhi 36-8. This week the Cougars will face powerhouse Ouachita Christian School tonight at home. Kickoff will be 7 p.m.
