Approximately 496 Glen View and Cypress Springs Elementary Schools students signed up to participate in the Lincoln Parish School district’s Enhanced School Calendar pilot program. Schools Superintendent Mike Milstead said 262 Cypress Springs students registered along with 242 Glen View students as of Friday’s registration deadline. “This is fantastic,” Milstead said. “This will help the program move along two or three years and we hope to see the numbers continue to grow.” School officials hoped roughly 500 students would sign up for the pilot program created to help with the “summer slump...
