Ruston Artisans recently hosted “Michaelangelo’s Sisters: Rediscovering History’s Great Women Artists,” a presentation by Co-op photographer Bette J. Kauffman. Kauffman, artist and Professor Emerita of Communications from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, offered a look at women artists throughout history while sharing her doctoral thesis research within a presentation that also included a visual analysis of paintings.
