Daniel Huey, assistant professor of music theory at Grambling State University, recently presented his spring organ recital at Temple Baptist Church. The performance featured selections that included “Fantasie in G Major,” “Chorale in E Major,” “In My Life, Lord, Be Glorified,” “Pomp and Circumstance, op. 39, no. 1,” “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” (to the melodies of Miles Lane and Coronation), and “Star Spangled Banner Concert Variations, op. 4.” Huey also serves as organist and plays in the orchestra for Temple.
