District Five Congresswoman Julia Letlow ( R- Start) announced Monday that the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will invest more than $2.4 million in improving healthcare across her district. The funding is targeted to rural communities and will be dispersed through the USDA’s Rural Development Community Facilities Emergency Rural Health Care program. “As we’ve seen over the past two years, healthcare is a critical need in our rural communities,” Letlow said. “ We’re incredibly proud of these substantial grants awarded in our region and look forward to continue working on the Appropriations Committee to bring home even more investments in the future.”
