GRAMBLING — The Grambling State University football team opened fall camp on Wednesday morning with its first practice as the Tigers gear up for their season opener on Sept. 3 at Arkansas State.

SHREVEPORT — United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced Thursday that Michael Jarred Gentry, 33, of Shreveport, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder of a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier.
