The Ruston Chamber of Commerce was organized in April, 1920, by Mr. Henderson, who was elected the group’s first president. On the first board of directors were S.B. Ritchie, W.J. Lewis, T.H. Mills, E.L. Kidd, J.H. Mays, D.K. Brown, J.E. Keeny, F.S. Price, G.A. Adams, D.M. Atkins, L.M. Feazel, Roy Cook, J.L. Martin, and S.J. Heard. For almost forty years the Chamber of Commerce has lead the way in increasing industrial and agricultural development in Ruston.
