It may have been Friday the 13th, but it was nothing but good luck for Rotary Club of Ruston as its team — Andy Halbook, Mary Elizabeth Halbrook and Tom Futrell — took championship honors in the 2nd Annual Goodwill Lunching Adult Spelling Bee.
While her home is in Oakland, California, author Lenore Weiss grew up in New York City with whistle stops along the way in Chicago, Illinois, and Sterlington, Louisiana.
