DEAR HARRIETTE: I want to go on spring break with my friends, but I told them this year I won’t because of the pandemic. They are all convinced that by spring break 2021, the virus will be gone and things will be back to normal. The whole country assumed back in March that it would be over by the summer, but now we are going into winter and the virus is still here.
It seems the city of Ruston is breaking with its own tradition. Twice this year, major decisions regarding utilities have been made, and neither decision came during the month of January.
The PEACHtober event held Friday and Saturday in place of the COVID-canceled 2020 Louisiana Peach Fest drew a steady crowd to downtown Lincoln Parish throughout the twoday celebration.
A graveside service for Steve L. Morton, age 66 of Ruston, was held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Kilpatrick’s Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
