Parish adds another COVID death

Another Lincoln Parish resident has died as a result of contracting COVID-19.
According to the numbers released by the Louisiana Department of Health at noon Tuesday, Lincoln Parish recorded another 14 positive cases to now stand at 1,672 positive cases.
That number is cumulative dating back to mid-March when LDH first started reporting case data.
The added death puts the parish at 49 who have succumbed to the novel coronavirus.
The added death has been expected after Pro Football Hall of Famer Fred Dean, who contracted COVID-19, died on Oct. 14.
This is the first death that has been added to the parish since Sept. 24.
The positivity rate for the parish stood at a little over 5% for the week of Oct. 8-14.
