The Ruston Community Theatre’s production of “Fiddler on the Roof” came to a close Sunday with outstanding reviews from the public to close out the troupe’s 46th season. RCT is planning its next show for the Dixie Center with auditions scheduled in August for “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” which will be presented Oct. 17-20. Auditions will be held at MARC (RCT building) at 504 E. Georgia Ave. from 10 a.m. to noon on Aug. 24 and 2-4 p.m. on Aug. 25.

LSU AgCenter plant pathologist Jong Ham has been investigating how soybean seeds treated with bacterial agents can help soybean plants fight stress. His research is part of a larger study funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to determine how heat and drought affect soybeans.
