Ruston High School FFA student Lexie Shankle was named Grand Champion at the LSU State Horse Show last week in Baton Rouge at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Shankle was named Grand Champion Halter Geldings and Hi Point Champion Sr. Western Division. Her State Placings include first place in English Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle and Western Riding; and second place in Western Showmanship, Western Pleasure Horsemanship, and Hunt Seat Equitation.
