DEAR HARRIETTE: I have had a crush on this guy for years. We became friends and started seeing each other, but after a while it just felt like he lost interest, and we fell off.
The town of Dubach recently held a clean-up day that brought together citizens from all corners of the community. Pictured right and above left are Mike Benefield and youngster Kaden Bernon working together along the edge of one of the local roads while pictured above right are Dubach Restoration and Beautification Organization President Renee Vowles and her sons gathering trash. Pictured below, Bernon works with Dubach Councilman Christopher Moerbe to load trash into one of the town’s garbage trucks. Town Clerk Charla Thompson said the event was highly successful and the town appreciates the efforts of so many to help Dubach continue to be a wonderful place to live.
Ruston Daily Leader Advertising Director Celeste Holley (left) and Publisher Crystal Richard (right) recently presented Ruston Mayor Ronny Walker with a donation for the Lincoln Parish Emergency Relief Fund from proceeds from the map of Ruston that was recently produced by the Ruston Daily Leader.
The Ruston Rotary Club proudly announces the recipients of the September Student of the Month Awards. Recognized by Rotarian Chris Barr, each student was honored at the October 21st luncheon and presented an award of achievement. Each awardee has maintained a minimum GPA of 3.5 and been active in extracurricular activities and leadership roles on their perspective school campus.
Thanksgiving break for Lincoln Parish school children is a week away and we are busy preparing and gathering to send each of our DART kids a pantry pack to get them through the week.
