Alysia Lewis Bradford, a Ruston native, Ruston High graduate and Grambling State University alumna, recently published an illustrated poem in book form, titled, “Grandma’s House on Memory Lane: A Tribute to Grandmothers Everywhere!”
Lincoln Parish residents who want to vote in the Oct. 14 primary election and are not now registered have until Sept. 13 to do so in person at the registrar of voters office, by mail or at the local Office of Motor Vehicles.
First Baptist WMU ladies worked on bibs for Wyatt Manor residents. During the work time Becky McBride had a very informative meeting to discuss their planned event for Forest Haven in December. Also discussed was assisting with the Jackson Parish WMU association Crafty Cafe which will be Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the family life Center at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
Argent Financial Group announced this week that Ruston artist Maggie Boudreaux is the recipient of this year’s Argent Fellowship for the Hambidge Center’s Creative Residency Program. Boudreaux will begin her two-week residency at the Hambidge Center this fall.
