Choudrant High head baseball coach Tony Antley is retiring immediately following the end of this season. Friday he coached his final game at home in leading the Aggies to an 8-2 win over Glenmora in the Class B quarterfinals. Choudrant will travel to Sulphur this week to try to repeat as state champions for their coach. See Sports on page 6 for more.
Unlike last year, high school seniors in Louisiana who haven’t met certain minimum scores on their LEAP tests won’t be given alternative ways to qualify for graduation.
A public hearing was held in the Village of Hodge on Tuesday night about a new ordinance approved by the village which prohibited the use of engine braking, also known as “jake braking” by 18-wheelers inside town limits.
