Family members and local dignitaries gathered Saturday at the Lincoln Parish Library to honor the memory of Jack Beard and George Byrnside, two men who were instrumental in the library’s move to its current location between Trenton Street and Vienna Street.
More than a century ago Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of scouting, said, “Try and leave this world a little better than you found it.” Abbey Luckett Benjamin and Michael Garriga are carrying his torch.
