The Lincoln Parish STEM Center recently hosted a STEM Day for children of teachers participating in professional development. The day featured a series of experiences with a St. Patrick’s Day theme and a little Johnny Appleseed added in. Pictured above, left to right, Karter Huey, Norah Whitlock and Isla Davis are seen preparing for their design challenge while Tucker Edwards and Reed Parker demonstrate their successfully engineered Apple Tower. In addition, participants also engaged in a challenge to design a container to hold one cup of Lucky Charms cereal, created a trap to catch a leprechaun and utilized the robotics program Dash to complete a balloon challenge.
