The Lincoln Parish branch of the NAACP scholarship committee recently handed out scholarship checks to six students recently at a ceremony at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church. From left are Rickey Burton, Brenda Williams, Amaiah Jones, Samuel Andrews II, Kaitlyn Wiley, Amber Williams and Tyrone Harris. Not pictured are students DaMarion Rhone and Braxton Taylor. The scholarships range from $250 to $500. The students will be attending four year universities or vocational colleges.
