GRAMBLING – The Grambling State University’s women’s basketball program announced the signing of eight talented players to its roster for the upcoming season, on Wednesday. These new signees bring a wealth of experience, skill, and leadership to the team. This class marks the first full recruiting class by new GSU Women’s Basketball Head Coach Courtney Simmons. “I am blessed to have an opportunity to coach at the Grambling State University and lead these young ladies to becoming champions in life and on the court,” Simmons said. “ This eight- person recruiting class all have a redemption story and we are just eager and ready to get to work. Dr. Scott has provided me with the necessary resources that attracts this type of talent, and we are here to compete. This is my first class at the helm of the program and I’m proud of the group I’ve put together. Now the focus shifts to team bonding or skill development. This core group of transfers will play a pivotal role in pushing our lone freshman Arianna Mosley, who came in ahead of schedule. We will wear the G proudly and give our fans something to cheer about.”
