Kathelene Spurlock Bryan

On Monday, June 10, 2019, Kathelene Spurlock Bryan went home to be withherHeavenlyFather. She was born Dec. 18, 1947, in Farmerville, Louisiana.

Kathelene is preceded in death by her parents J.D. and R.V. Bridges Spurlock both of Downsville, Louisiana.; three brothers, Johnny, Grayson, and Mack Spurlock; three sisters, Billie Ruth Spurlock Jarrell, Callie Spurlock Frost, and Mary Ellen Spurlock. Left to Cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Kenneth L. Bryan, Sr. (Kenny); two sons Kenneth L. Bryan, Jr. (wife Monica Wells Bryan) and Kasey L. Bryan all of Downsville, LA; one brother, Jimmy Spurlock (wife Betty), of Mexia, TX.; two sisters, Martha Ann Spurlock Rockett of Dallas, TX and Betty Spurlock Stidham of Duncanville, TX; two grandchildren, Maci Ashby, (husband Will) and Kayne L. Bryan andone great grandson, Owen Ray Ashby; all of Downsville; numerous nieces and nephews

Kathelene — “Kat” — loved working in her yard, getting to gather with family, friends and fellowshipping with her church family at Holmesville Baptist Church.

She also loved her work with the elderly at Union Council on Aging, where she also participated in the Senior Olympics.
