Bulldogs sign two transfers for 2021 season

Louisiana Tech has signed TCU transfer offensive lineman Kellton Hollins, a Zachary native who started seven games for the Horned Frogs in 2020.
Louisiana Tech football head coach Skip Holtz announced the signing of offensive lineman Kellton Hollins (Zachary/TCU) and wide receiver Samuel Emilus (Montreal, Quebec/UMass) on Thursday.
Hollins, a 6-2, 291-pound offensive lineman, spent the last five seasons at TCU where he appeared in 23 games. He played in seven of the last eight contests for the Horned Frogs in 2020 where he made one start at right guard and saw playing time at center.
Hollins started at center in all 11 games he appeared in as a sophomore in 2018. He served as a team captain in each of those 2018 contests. Hollins played in one game as a junior in 2019 and in four games as a redshirt freshman in 2017. Hollins was a 2020 First-Team Academic All-Big 12 honoree, a 2019 Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award Semifinalist and a 2019 Big 12 Champions for Life Representative.
Emilus, a 6-1, 195-pound wide receiver, competed for UMass from 2018-20. During his Minutemen career, Emilus registered 59 receptions for 653 yards and seven touchdowns. He was named to the Phil Steele All-Independent First Team as a punt returner in 2020.
Emilus started all four games at wide receiver as a junior in 2020 where he totaled 17 receptions for 168 yards and a touchdown. He also served as the team’s primary punt returner where he fielded three punts for 46 yards (15.3 yards per return).
As a sophomore in 2019, Emilus played in 12 games and made eight starts at wide receiver where registered 27 receptions for 273 yards and two touchdowns. He played in six games and made one start as a freshman in 2018, finishing the season with 15 catches for 212 yards and four touchdowns.
