Ruston High great, NFL’s Isaiah Buggs to hold annual Fun Day Saturday

Former Ruston High football all-American and Alabama Crimson Tide national champion Isaiah Buggs will be hosting his Second Annual Fun Day in Ruston Saturday.

The event, which will feature free food, music and guest speakers, will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Greenwood Recreation (Blue Gym) in Ruston, located at 1306 Cornell Ave.

Buggs, who skyrocketed to football fame as a member of Alabama’s national title team in 2017, was drafted in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The defensive end will be entering his third season with the Steelers in 2021.

Buggs played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for two years out of Ruston High, before transferring to Alabama.
