There’s a whole lotta shaking going on at the Union Museum of History & Art thanks to a pop-up exhibit featuring rock ’n’ roll Hall of Famer Jerry Lee Lewis. With connections back to Union Parish, the exhibit pays tribute to the icon’s local ties and features artifacts from his storied career. Above, Jean Jones, programs director for the museum, shows a page from the Linville High School yearbook featuring Lewis when he was a student at the parish school. Below, Morgan and Paula Huffman of El Dorado, Arkansas, explore a display that includes the origins of Lewis’ nickname “The Killer” among other memorabilia. The exhibit will be on display through Aug. 30 and admission is free. The museum is located at 211 N. Main Street in Farmerville and is open Tuesday through Friday, 1-5 p.m. and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
