Northern Louisiana Medical Center will be relocating north of Interstate 20 in the future, with work beginning on the new hospital’s site. “It is very exciting to see the new development happening on the new site of the future home of Northern Louisiana Medical Center,” said CEO Kathy Hall. “Over the next few weeks, there will be a lot of activity and movement on the property as we continue to clear the land and began plans for the new hospital.”
The Ogunyemi Family Foundation awards Wisdom Strength and Endurance Scholarships to two local students each summer and has announced this year’s recipients. Above is Dai’jen Fleming with Olatunde Ogunyemi. Fleming graduated from Ruston High School with a 4.2 GPA and a 26 composite on his ACT. His community involvement and extracurricular activities include National Honors Society and Future Business Leaders of America. Fleming, who receives the $1,500 scholarship, plans to attend Louisiana Tech in the fall.
