Louisiana Tech University’s Joann Davis performs “The Star Spangled Banner” to help the Russ Town Band kick off its 2021 Patriotic Concert. A crowd of approximately 200 filled the Ruston High School Auditorium Saturday for the band’s first concert in almost two years. Walter Moss, Ruston High School Director of Bands and part of the band’s percussion section, summed up the experience for all who have missed live music due to the pandemic, “We’re the luckiest people on the planet because we get to once again play and hear live music.”
