Lincoln Parish School Board member Donna Doss has announced her candidacy for reelection this fall. Doss, who represents District 4, is seeking her first full term.
Five new members will be inducted into the Jackson Parish Sports Hall of Fame (JPSHOF) during ceremonies that will be held in October. Two more will be honored with Outstanding Achievement Awards. The announcement was made following the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the JPSHF board on June 2.
A relatively quiet summer meeting of the Lincoln Parish School Board was the last day on the job for a certain district administrator, while a board member also announced she would not be running for reelection this fall.
The Jackson Parish School Board approved a one-time stipend of $2,000 for certified staff and staff required to have a degree (IT department, nurses, and business office staff) and $1,000 for non-certified staff to be paid out of the general fund.
