Stopped in its tracks

This Kansas City Southern Railway Company train was stopped on the tracks on Monroe Street near Park Avenue midday Wednesday because of four hot axles. The train’s conductor had to inspect the train and see exactly which axles were running hot so maintenance could be performed. School board passes surplus revised budget

In a brief meeting Tuesday, the Lincoln Parish School Board adopted a revised budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year that reflects some $11.6 million more revenues than expenditures.

Sprucing up the Dixie Theatre

On Wednesday, the North Central Louisiana Master Gardeners spent Wednesday morning tending to the Dixie Theatre garden.
