Simsboro senior guard Nick Maryland wrapped up a stellar career Friday night by leading the No. 1 Tigers to their second straight Class B state basketball championship at Marsh Madness in Lake Charles. Maryland was named the Outstanding Player after scoring 17 points with 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals against No. 3 Zwolle in a 67-44 win in the finals. Maryland ends his Simsboro career with four championships in five seasons.
