Danny Bob Murphy

Funeral services for Danny Bob Murphy, 69, of Dubach, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 at Hico Baptist Church. Bro. Don Cardin will officiate. Interment will follow at Henry Cemetery in Hico under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.

Danny Bob was born on Oct. 29, 1949, and passed away an Aug. 7, 2019. Danny Bob attended LA Tech University on a basketball scholarship. He worked for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local in Monroe for over 35 years. His passion in life was horses and team roping. He was preceded in death by his parents: C. L. and Reba Murphy, and sister, Glenda Murphy Cruse.

Survivors are his siblings: James W. Murphy and wife Cecile of Bedias, TX; Brenda C. Murphy of Hico; Joel Lane Murphy of Hico; Janet Murphy of Hico; Kenneth Rabon Murphy and wife Nelda of Good Hope, GA; Mickey Murphy and wife Mary Nell of Ruston; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Ricky Lynn Murphy, Lane Murphy, Alec Monsour, James Murphy Jr., Brylan Johnson, Eli Murphy, Oliver Murphy, and Sonny Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are Paige Murphy, Chip Murphy, Tommy Murphy and Ricky Murphy.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, August 9, at Hico Baptist Church.
