Hawkins sworn in as marshal

Curtis Hawkins is now officially Ruston’s new city marshal. Hawkins was sworn in Wednesday in a private ceremony. From left are Hawkins, his wife Sonya, and Ruston City Court Judge Danny Tatum, who administered Hawkins’ oath of office. Diane Hilton, widow of the late Marshal Mike Hilton, presented Hawkins with a badge belonging to Hilton. Hawkins was elected in the Dec. 5 runoff, garnering 64% of the vote.
