Choudrant High School hosted its annual Academic Signing Day for seniors that received academic scholarships from higher education institutions. Seven students accepted scholarships Wednesday in the CHS gymnasium. At top, accepted the Tech Tour Scholarship from Grambling State University. She also received offers from Louisiana Tech University and the University of New Orleans. Williams plans to major in computer science and would like to develop a STEM center for children. Second, Amy Ambrose accepted the Outstanding Student Scholarship from Louisiana Tech University. Ambrose is currently undecided about her major.
Pictured third, Gracie Duke will travel down Interstate 20 to become a Warhawk at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Duke accepted the Ace’s Award Scholarship, and was also offered a scholarship to Louisiana Tech University. Duke plans to major in nursing and hopes to one day work for Duke’s Honey, as well as pursue a career in nursing. At bottom, Lady Aggie basketball standout Katie Wiley accepted the Presidential Scholarship from Grambling State University. Wiley received a scholarship offer from 19 different schools. She plans to major in biology and then attend medical school to practice family medicine.
