Ruston’s Board of Aldermen on Monday created a new economic development district that’s part of the incentive package used to lure a Buc-ee’s Travel Center to the city.
Ruston’s proposed skatepark moved a step closer to reality Monday night when the Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to hire Newline Skateparks to be the design development firm for the project.
If all goes according to plan, Buc-ee’s will open a $50 million travel center in Ruston in 2025. The center would be first Buc-ee’s location in Louisiana.
